Road & Boat Tripping Around Bali

Lembongan

A short 30-minute boat trip from Bali, is Lembongan, a white sand and coral ringed island
paradise.

Whether you dock at Jungut Batu or Mushroom Bay, the first thing that strikes you is the colour
and clarity of the water below. As you glide towards shore, the coral and marine life appear
amplified by the crystal clear, turquoise water – a signal for the passengers to exhale, relax, and
settle into island time.

An icon on the island, and the first stop on your way to complete relaxation is The Coconut Hut
Lembongan. Home to the famous Sunday markets during the pandemic, The Coconut Hut
hosted businesses and locals with stalls during the covid shutdowns. Plus their mini-golf,
amazing food and great cocktails are always a huge drawcard.

Make sure you stay with the Villas on Lembongan, perched high on the hill of Jungut Batu, with
views across Shipwrecks and Lacerations surf breaks, and all the way down the beach. They
have a great choice of restaurants and bars nearby, and a recently built day spa to add some
luxury to your stay. There is no better place to sit back and watch the sun rise and set over Bali,
making them the unbeatable accommodation of choice for travellers to Lembongan.

North Bali

Around a 3-5 hour drive north of Sanur or Seminyak, is the area known as North Bali. Less
visited by tourists, North Bali has so much to offer.

You know what they say, the journey is every bit as important as the destination, and this is
definitely true of the road trip to the northern regions of Bali. There are so many routes you can
take, stopping along the way to take in the breathtaking mountains, rainforests and incredible
waterfalls. Stop in Bedugal for a cliff-side lunch, or just to take insta-worthy snaps, the road trip
to the north is definitely worth the effort.

Once you’re there, it’s the perfect place to completely switch off, tune out, and unplug from the
modern world.

Dig your toes into the warm sand of the black sand beaches, take in the sights of the fishermen
on the beach and the cows that roam freely, and enjoy the sounds of the birdsong that doesn’t
have to compete with traffic noise to be heard.

Highlights include a stay at Puri Ganesha by the Beach, feasting on the 5-star cuisine made from
fresh produce grown on the property. Relax, enjoy beach walks or just hanging out in the garden
lumbungs, reading or having a massage. Take cooking classes…or naps, and settle into the
quieter side of Bali.

Tanah Lot

Keep going, past Seminyak and Canggu, and you will find the spectacular village of Tanah Lot.
With the mystical vibes of old Bali, Tanah Lot is steeped in tradition and the best place to
witness the most moving and majestic ceremonies in Bali.

Head up the coast in search of your own private stretch of beach paradise, or follow the surfers
on the trail to surfing hotspots.

Sleep right on the beach in luxury tents from Bali Beach Glamping, fully kitted out and just
meters from the water. Enjoy incredible food, picnics in the rice fields or cocktails on your own
beachfront deck. Or pick up the pace and go horse riding, or cruise the beach on an ATV and
really have some fun.
